The Team
Jeff Hunter
Jeff has over fourteen years of professional software development experience building both traditional and web-based applications. His diverse background in the legal, securities, telecommunication, accounting, and oil and gas industries lends a breadth of knowledge applicable to many different business problems. Jeff is also well versed in many different quality assurance practices and standards which he leverages to ensure consistent results from his development team. His previous experience includes heading up development of the (securities) portfolio monitoring application at class-action heavyweight Milberg Weiss. Prior to that, Jeff worked at Nightfire Software (now NeuStar) where he was responsible for a complete user interface overhaul across all product lines.
Allan Miller
Allan started developing software using WATFIV (FORTRAN) over twenty five years ago, and has since updated his skills and gained valuable experience developing applications on a host of more current platforms, languages, and architectures, including the World Wide Web. With many years teaching college and university-level CS, and working in industry, he is very good at using the Internet and Web to formulate effective solutions to business problems. He is one of the cofounders of the Berkeley-based East Bay Ruby Meetup, and teaches courses in Ruby and Ruby on Rails programming at UC Berkeley Extension.
Daniel Parks
Daniel has been designing and building web applications for over seven years, using both traditional and cutting edge web technologies to solve real world problems. He has the broad expertise – from user interfaces to databases – necessary to work on today’s ever-more demanding interactive web applications. His proudest achievement is the redesign of an interface used by physicians to enter compliance data under challenging conditions. The redesign resulted in a 500% increase in usage, and became a valuable selling point for the product.
